Son later found critical acclaim for his role in My Liberation Notes and in The Roundup.
Son is the latest member of Burberry's global community, joining other Asian ambassadors such as Tang Wei, Chen Kun and more.
Earlier this January, the fashion brand dropped its Lunar New Year campaign and collection featuring a number of Asian brand ambassadors including Tang and Chen.
As part of the campaign, the ambassadors were seen exploring the streets of Chengdu while showcasing the latest collection, with photography and film shot by Ryan McGinley.
The Lunar New Year collection focused on British wardrobe archetypes and showcased elements like houndstooth check, a seasonal rose print and a vibrant red, colours traditionally associated with good luck and prosperity in China.
The campaign also introduced fresh takes on classic checks, along with new eyewear styles and other accessories.
