Burberry has partnered with Minecraft to work on a multifaceted collaboration, which is centered around a customised in-game adventure titled Burberry: Freedom to Go Beyond.
The in-game adventure is a fast-paced journey into the unknown that allows the player to explore four treacherous domains. Featuring 15 downloadable skins based on fashion, fantasy and adventure, the game reimagines journeys into nature through the power of adventure, according to the official website.
From 1 November, players will be able to explore Burberry’s universe in the metaverse, along with 15 downloadable skins based on “fashion, fantasy, and adventure.”
Furthermore, the collaboration has also introduced a clothing capsule collection for consumers to enjoy in real life (IRL). The collection will be fusing Burberry icons with Minecraft motifs and will be available to shop 24 hours early to members of the Burberry community, according to Burberry's website.
MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Burberry for additional information.
Back in March this year, fashion brand Lacoste and Minecraft have joined hands to launch an innovative collaboration, bringing virtual and physical clothes together to the metaverse. Clothes branded with Minecraft and using Minecraft graphics were available for sale at Lacoste's physical stores.
