PR and content agency Bud Communications has named Patricia Malay as its new client services director and Urvashi Raizada as its content director to support the agency’s growth in the APAC region. Both Malay and Raizada are based in Singapore and will report to Bud Communications’ founder and CEO Oliver Budgen.

Prior to Malay’s current role, she was the deputy managing director at communication agency BCW Global from September 2022 to April 2023. At BCW Global, Malay assisted market leads with new business developments and secured new clients, according to her LinkedIn.

Malay was also the global director for DE&I from February to September 2022 at FleishmanHillard in the Philippines. She held various roles at FleishmanHillard in her nearly five-year stint at the company. Before joining FleishmanHillard, she was the business director for Havas Ortega.

Raizada too joins Bud Communications with a wealth of experience under her belt. Most recently, Raizada was a content strategist at Mutant Communications from November 2022 to April 2023. She has worked with brands such as Samsung, PayPal and Binance to name a few.

A former editor at MillionaireAsia turned in-house strategist, Urvashi was also the content manager for Asia at Hays from June 2019 to November 2020. At Hays, she led content for Singapore, Malaysia, China, Japan and Hong Kong SAR.

In addition to the new appointments, the agency has also expanded its offerings to include new creative content strategy and production capabilities alongside its DE&I consulting, crisis preparedness and branding services.

“We’ve always been pretty obsessive about finding the most meaningful and impactful ways to tell our clients’ stories and connect them with their audiences,” said Budgen.

“Bringing Patricia and Urvashi onboard unlocks heaps of additional opportunities for our clients to find and create unique ways to positively build their brand and win fans, customers, talent or investors,” Budgen added.

As Bud Communications bolsters its leadership team, last year, it announced a series of account wins across the APAC region, which includes global brands such as DHL Express, MindFi, Capgemini Invent, Tokocrypto, Yellow.ai, and MoEngage.

The recent retainer wins, all following a pitch, expand its current B2B and B2C roster, and cover a wide range of integrated communications services: content, events, creative campaigns, social media and community counsel, as well as brand and strategic messaging.
