Black Sheep Restaurants has appointed Jeffrey Wong (pictured) as its marketing and sales director, reporting to Syed Asim Hussain, founder of Black Sheep.
The role is created to cope with Black Sheep’s expansion plan as the brand is seeing a number of positive signs across the world that have it heading into 2025 with optimism and belief for the future.
"We are proudly of, by and for Hong Kong, with new projects in the pipeline, including the opening of five new restaurants in the first quarter and many more to follow across this ever-evolving city we call home," said Black Sheep on LinkedIn.
"Additionally, we are thrilled to begin our international expansion in the coming year, writing new chapters of the Black Sheep story with friends new and old in Singapore, Dubai and Abu Dhabi."
In the newly created role, Wong will be tasked at formulating marketing strategies for the Hong-Kong-grown hospitality team; and reinforcing its localisation effort to better serve the guests across this ever-evolving city.
Wong was most recently the director of sales and marketing of Bakehouse. Based in Hong Kong, he was responsible for overseeing wholesale and the newly established corporate sales teams and overall B2B & B2C pricing strategies to optimise revenue for the group. Prior to this, Wong was the PR and communications manager at Black Sheep.
Wong said: “I am thrilled to re-join the Black Sheep team to drive the company's marketing stragety at such a dynamic and exciting time. We are expecting many more new restaurants in the coming year; together with new international chapters in Singapore, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.”
"I have truly loved my time at Bakehouse and am very grateful for the trust from the management. Looking back, launching the Bakehouse Club app, opening new outlets, developing a new business stream and welcoming media friends all around APAC are nothing short of rewarding. Having achieved amazing business growth, I think it is time for new challenges. Super excited for the opportunities ahead!" he added.
