Berjaya Sompo Insurance has named Rachel Loke head of brand, marketing communications and CX, taking over from Mawarni Adam who left last month. She reports to the company's new deputy CEO, Tsuyoshi Seto.
Loke (pictured) was previously with Alliance Bank Malaysia as head of brand and marketing, for more than a year. During her time there, Loke managed the marketing and brand team for consumer banking, business banking and branding for the bank and its related subsidiaries, according to her LinkedIn. She was also responsible for the development of creative and impactful marketing strategies for go-to-market and overall brand equity creation and management.
Before that, she was the UOB Malaysia for close to four years as VP of product marketing (retail), her LinkedIn said. In her time there, she was the key marketing lead for the deposits, bancassurance, investments and the wealth banking segments.
Loke told A+M that her vision for the team is to improve its service level by leveraging on technology, increase top of mind through campaigns and initiatives that are close to one's heart, and optimise digital marketing to support its digital propositions.
