BBH's Christine Ng will be splitting her time between China and Singapore to take on the role of BBH Singapore's chairperson, effective 1 July, following the departure of CEO John Hadfield. Ng was a co-founder of the BBH China business which, in her time first as MD, then as CEO, spending over 15 years there. With over two decades of BBH experience, the role sees Ng (pictured) returning to her roots as she was part of the original leadership team that launched the agency in Singapore 25 years ago.

She will work alongside the Singapore core management team of Sid Tuli, Sascha Kuntze, Natasha Lindsay-Barker and Jacob Wright. Her appointment comes amidst the slew of new business wins that the agency has bagged, including Hyundai, Genesis, NTUC First Campus, and an expanded gaming relationship with Riot.

Ng said she is very fortunate to be working with such top-class management teams in both Shanghai and Singapore. "Their passion for creativity and relentless quest for zag is the fuel that will continue to drive the agencies to exciting places still ahead. It’s an honour to partner them on the journey," she added.

BBH global CEO Neil Munn said Ng is one of its most important and long-standing black sheep. Her extensive experience of growing the agency in Asia will now be channelled into BBH's next phase of development in Singapore. "When you add Ng’s wisdom and connectivity to the dynamism of our core leadership team I am sure we are in for a brilliant ride, creatively and commercially," Munn added.

Hadfield left the agency at the end of April this year and is relocating to the UK this month. In line with his departure, BBH promoted Sid Tuli, former head of new business, to MD. Hadfield first transferred to BBH Singapore in 2005 from BBH London. Under his leadership, the agency said it has "grown significantly" in scale and influence. Meanwhile, Tuli joined BBH Singapore in 2010 and has grown through the ranks to run key global clients including Absolut, Nike and Riot Games.

Separately, the Singapore team rolled out an Instagram game in April to train corporate staffers to be workplace ready again. Known as "Back to the Office", the interactive eight-bit game is a tongue-in-cheek nod at workplace policies in a post-COVID-19 world. Players take on the role of an employee at BBH Singapore, and they are tasked to avoid maskless colleagues, duck from client briefs for a post-COVID world, and escape an overcrowded pantry that breaches social-distancing guidelines.
