Anko, the Australian home and lifestyle brand known for its stylish yet budget-friendly offerings, is expanding its footprint in the Philippines with the launch of its largest store yet in Trinoma this July.

This marks the brand's third store in the country, following its successful debut at Glorietta 2, Makati City, in November 2024, and the soon-to-open Alabang Town Center branch in May 2025.

With its minimalist aesthetic and practical home essentials, Anko has quickly gained popularity among Filipino shoppers. The Trinoma store will offer products ranging from home living essentials and smart storage solutions to beauty must-haves, nursery items, children's toys, electronics, pet supplies, and arts and crafts.

Anko's expansion is part of a broader strategy to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia. The brand, which is part of the Kmart Group and owned by Wesfarmers, has brought its blend of affordability and modern design to various international markets, including New Zealand, Canada, India, Malaysia, and Singapore.

"Anko is all about making everyday living brighter. With our Trinoma store, we are very excited to bring even more shoppers home and lifestyle essentials designed to match every lifestyle," Rachel Turner (pictured), country manager of Anko Philippines, said in a release.

Spanning 1,634 square metres, the upcoming store will feature 1,421 square metres of retail space, while the rest will be dedicated to office and stockroom operations.

A striking magenta board-up, in Anko's signature colour, has already been installed at Trinoma's Activity Center on level 1, signalling the brand's arrival and building anticipation among shoppers.

Arjun Puri, CEO of Anko Global, stated that opening in Trinoma is a logical step in the brand's Philippine expansion, as it aims to establish a presence in places where Filipino families already shop for their homes. He emphasised that top malls in Metro Manila provide an ideal platform to introduce the brand to a wider audience.

Puri also highlighted Anko's streamlined product development process, which allows the company to deliver quality home essentials at consistently affordable prices.

"By managing the entire process - from design and sourcing to production and retail - we streamline operations and keep costs down. This allows us to offer well-designed, functional products that align with international trends at prices that make sense for our Filipino customers," he said.

Recently, Anko also introduced Filipino-Australian celebrity Anne Curtis-Smith as its first-ever brand ambassador in the Philippines.
