The wait is over. The finalists for the 7th annual Asia eCommerce Awards have officially been released. These campaigns and talented individuals represent the pinnacle of eCommerce innovation, resilience, and brilliance in the face of 2024's challenges.
Keeping pace with Asia's dynamic eCommerce evolution, we introduced two exciting new categories:
- Best Community-Driven Interactive Experience
- Best Green Initiative
With a grand total of 37 categories now, the competition for gold, silver, and bronze is fierce. The ultimate accolade, "eCommerce Agency/Brand/Marketplace/eRetailer of the Year," awaits the top performer across all categories.
Our panel of 17 esteemed client-side marketing and eCommerce professionals rigorously evaluated each entry, ensuring a fair and competitive selection process.
Paul Chua, head of ecommerce, Harvey Norman said that even the simplest ideas, when executed effectively, can yield remarkable results. He added that innovation doesn’t always have to be complex—sometimes straightforward strategies can have the greatest impact. He found the creativity and ingenuity on display this year both inspiring and humbling.
Meanwhile, Nattaya Chanvithee, director of marketing communications, SO/ Bangkok, said that there was "remarkable creativity" seen in blending cultural elements with modern eCommerce strategies. She was particularly impressed by the innovative use of technology and multi-channel approaches, which created seamless customer touchpoints throughout the buying journey. She also congratulated all the entrants for their outstanding efforts in elevating eCommerce marketing.
Another jury member, Candyse Yip, head of ecommerce (Singapore and Malaysia), Fossil Group, said that she was impressed at the depth of expertise and flawless execution of the campaigns.
She found it especially exciting to see many entries making full use of multi-channel strategies, amplifying reach across platforms and setting new benchmarks for strategic brilliance and impact.
Ram Nikhil Dodda, head of product management, amazon key, Amazon, on the other hand, was highly impressed by the strategic thinking and data-driven approach demonstrated by the teams across all categories. He noted that the teams were clear from the outset about their campaign goals and the definition of success post-execution. He added, "it is inspiring to see several entries surpass the success goals and KPIs they had set for themselves."
