The wait is over: the Asia eCommerce Awards 2026 shortlist is here, with the region’s brands, agencies, marketplaces and eRetailers now in the running for some of the industry’s biggest honours.
Across 43 categories, this year’s finalists showcase how quickly the commerce playbook is evolving, from campaigns built to stop the scroll to strategies designed to turn one-off purchases into lasting customer relationships.
And there is plenty at stake. Beyond the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, finalists are also battling it out for the top titles of eCommerce Agency of the Year, eCommerce Brand of the Year, and eCommerce Marketplace of the Year / eRetailer of the Year.
These awards recognise the teams that have gone beyond simply delivering results, with judges looking for the ideas that brought together creativity, strategic thinking, execution and real business impact.
Getting to the shortlist was no small feat. A jury of 19 senior client-side marketing and eCommerce leaders from across industries assessed entries on everything from the strength of the idea and strategy to execution and results.
One trend that caught the judges’ attention was the growing role of AI in commerce.
Cher Wei Bee, head of eCommerce MYSG at Kenvue, said she was impressed by how brands were using AI “to enhance creativity, improve execution and unlock deeper consumer insights.”
But AI was far from the only shift shaping this year’s entries. For Jessica Carret, head of marketing – Southeast Asia at William Grant & Sons, the standout work showed just how far eCommerce has moved beyond simply being a place to transact.
“This year's entries overall standard was exceptionally high, demonstrating how eCommerce has evolved from a transactional sales channel into a strategic business growth engine,” Carret said.
“The strongest submissions successfully integrated creators, social commerce, customer experience, innovation and operational excellence to build more connected, community-led and experience-driven commerce ecosystems,” she added.
That growing sophistication was also reflected in how brands connected creativity to the bottom line. Muzzammil Ghafoor, head of Ecommerce, Personal Health JAPAC at Philips said "What stood out this year was how brands connected creativity with measurable business impact."
Muzzammil also pointed to the growing influence of social commerce, creators and changing consumer behaviours.
Meanwhile, Nicole Lim Pei Xuan, assistant general manager, eCommerce and Digital Advertising at Habib Jewels, said the entries that stood out brought together “strategy thinking, creativity and execution”, alongside “a clear understanding of the consumer, a well-connected approach across touchpoints, and tangible impact on business.”
For Iftekhar Mallick, general manager at YELLOW, seeing those ideas come to life was a highlight of the judging process.
“The strategic thinking and innovative ideas from across the region made the experience especially exciting. Even more rewarding was seeing how those ideas came to life through some truly impressive execution," said Iftekhar.
Ultimately, Cher said the strongest work was not simply about adopting the latest technology, but using it with purpose.
“The strongest entries paired innovation with clear business impact, demonstrating that technology is most powerful when used to create meaningful value for both consumers and brands," she said.
With the shortlist now locked in, the countdown to the winners begins.
The winners of the 9th annual Asia eCommerce Awards will be revealed on 22 October 2026 at Sofitel City Centre, where the region’s eCommerce leaders will come together to celebrate the teams, ideas and businesses shaping what commerce looks like next.
