Anwesh Bose exits Havas Group Indonesia

Anwesh Bose (pictured), president director (CEO) of Havas Indonesia will be leaving the company after close to six years with the network. Bose took on the role in January 2018 and was previously the CEO of Havas Media Group for more than a year, and MD for over two years.

A Havas Group spokesperson confirmed to Marketing Interactive that Bose will continue to be an advisor to the executive committee of Havas Group Indonesia. The spokesperson also said Bose's role will be replaced in due course of time.

In a statement to Marketing Interactive, Bose said he has seen Havas grow from a strong to dominant media agency in scale and profile by year-on-year strong new business growth and client retention ratio, driving growth of diversified services, and integrating media and creative. During his time with the agency, Bose said he also ensured equal pay between genders at the workplace, and he was also able to learn immensely from seniors, peers, clients, and associates.

Bose told Marketing Interactive he was also grateful to be entrusted by Havas, especially Vishnu Mohan, chairman and CEO of Havas Group Southeast Asia and India, his boss and mentor, to deliver on the organisation's ambitions in India. He has also found a second home in Indonesia and built lifelong friendships. "Last but not the least, my first client Indofood for being patient with me as a newcomer to Indonesia," he added.

“It has been a privilege to work with Havas Group over the past few years. I wish Mohan and the team at Havas Group well with its future development," Bose said.

In his role as CEO, Bose was responsible for the day to day functioning of all brands including the flagship brands – Havas Media and Havas. Before joining Havas, Bose was the senior VP at DDB Mudramax in Delhi for close to three years. During his time there, he was the business head of media for North and East India, and business head for digital media for all of India. According to his LinkedIn, he also worked at Dentsu for close to five years, helming roles such as chief growth officer - media, GM - media, business director, and associate media director.

Meanwhile, Sudradjat’s current responsibilities as chairman include leading the strategic vision and operational leadership for Havas Group’s integrated operations in line with the group’s “Together” strategy. He was previously with Grey Group, where he spent 17 years, nine as the chairman and CEO. Before that, he was managing director at MediaCom and also had a stint with Dentsu Indonesia as a media director.
