Carousell and YouBiz partner to help SMEs digitalise

Singapore-based online marketplace, Carousell, and SME corporate card Youbiz, have partnered to help equip SME owners with the right tools and resources to scale beyond borders, according to YouTrip in a statement on LinkedIn. 

The companies will reportedly help SMEs to maximise their resources and save on businesses expenses as they journey towards becoming more digitalised in their operations, according to Technode Global.

Carousell and YouBiz reportedly said that they have experienced the challenges of digitalisation as a start-up first-hand and understand that there are high costs associated with it. With limited access to digitalisation resources, this can hinder the growth of a company as well as its profitability.

YouBiz has been helping SMEs to save money and manhours annually by eliminating unnecessary administrative fees as well as providing 0% foreign exchange fee, unlimited cashback and integrated digital solutions.

These savings have allowed SMEs to reinvest in its enhance their offerings and reach, according to Technode Global. 

Carousell and YouBiz will be providing exclusive cashback rebates to allow SMEs to invest savings in other business functions. Carousell merchants will reportedly get to enjoy a 10% upsized cashback for their CarouBiz package and Carousell coins. YouBiz users on the other hand will reportedly be offered an exclusive 20% rebate for their purchase of Carousell coins.

Besides helping SMEs to save on their costs, Carousell and YouBiz will also reportedly work to empower business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge they need to stay ahead in the digital economy.

This comes shortly after Carousell opened its new regional headquarters in Singapore at LaunchPad@one-north, a start-up and incubator space. This comes as the brand celebrates its second decade of operations.  

The HQ, dubbed Carousell Campus, will be dedicated to advancing recommerce capabilities as part of its goal to make buying and selling secondhand items more trusted and convenient, according to the group in a statement.
