This post is sponsored by Great Eastern.

For over a century, Great Eastern has been at the forefront of Asia’s insurance industry, providing financial security and peace of mind to millions of people. To commemorate its 116th anniversary this year, and reflect on the journey so far, Great Eastern has put its customers at the heart of its celebrations.

The Great Legacy programme

To mark this milestone, Great Eastern has launched the Great Legacy programme which focuses on helping Singaporeans with their Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) and Advance Medical Directive (AMD) applications. Those interested can have their questions answered, and complete both the LPA and AMD in one sitting. This simplifies the application process, making it easier and more efficient for its customers.

Great Eastern is the first insurer to support the pre-planning campaign launched by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social and Family Development, the Public Service Division, and the Agency for Integrated Care, reinforcing its commitment to helping customers plan for life’s unexpected events. As part of this initiative, Great Eastern has also set up complimentary certification clinics to support LPA and AMD applications, which would typically cost S$150 per person.

Celebrating with customers

For 116 years, Great Eastern has prided itself on enabling the goals and aspirations of its customers by providing them with protection and financial freedom. This year, to put its customers front and centre, Great Eastern has launched “The Great You” campaign to celebrate customers who live the spirit of “Reach for Great”.

The campaign is about honouring customers whose dreams, whether big or small, show determination and drive to achieve something meaningful. The campaign will re-enact the journeys of these customers in videos that capture their challenges and triumphs to demonstrate Great Eastern’s brand promise in an authentic and inspiring manner.

These stories will come from Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and will be shared on Great Eastern’s website, social media, and in other media platforms. Those who take part in the campaign also stand a chance to win up to S$5,000 each.

The inspiring and heartfelt submissions will show how Great Eastern has made a difference in people’s lives. These stories will be showcased on its website and in videos celebrating the journey of customers and how they have been supported by Great Eastern along the way.

Additionally, as part of its 116th anniversary celebration, Great Eastern has also introduced a series of attractive promotions across its Life and General insurance products.

As part of a limited time promotion, customers get to enjoy 20% rewards on selected qualifying Life insurance plans, and for those purchasing selected General insurance plans, they will enjoy rewards from 15% up to 40%. There is still an opportunity for customers looking to purchase plans from 1 October to 31 December 2024 to receive the attractive rewards.

Whether customers are focused on protecting their health or helping preserve and grow their wealth, Great Eastern’s anniversary promotions cater to a wide range of needs. The company has also launched a social media campaign offering 116 lucky customers a limited-edition 116th anniversary gift pack, adding a personal touch to the celebrations.

Looking ahead

The company’s 116-year journey is a testament to its resilience and ability to cater to all walks of life and adapt to changing times. While celebrating this milestone, Great Eastern remains focused on protecting lives, preserving legacies, and helping customers “Reach for Great”.
