This December, the Car Boot Christmas Market at China Hong Kong City brings festive cheer back to the community with an exciting event inspired by the charm of Nordic vintage Christmas towns.

Partnering with the Swedish and Finnish Chambers of Commerce for the first time, this year's market promises to be a delightful blend of local craftsmanship, delicious treats, and enchanting holiday spirit. Additionally, the Car Boot Christmas Market encourages young entrepreneurs by offering free registration for car booth owners, with more than 1000 applications received.

Running from 7 to 8 December, 14 to 15 December, 21 to 22 December, 25 to 26 December, 28 to 29 December, and concluding on 31 December, the market is set against the stunning backdrop of Victoria Harbour. Visitors can explore over 100 booths showcasing handmade crafts, creative gifts, and seasonal delicacies. The highlight of the market is the magnificent six-meter-tall Starlight Christmas Tree, which serves as a stunning centerpiece for capturing memorable moments with loved ones.

Nordic themed weekend: 14-15 December

Mark your calendars for the special Nordic themed weekend on 14-15 December! During this enchanting weekend, participants will have the unique opportunity to

meet and greet Santa Claus, who will travel all the way from Finland and Sweden to spread holiday cheer. In addition to Santa's visit, there will be a Finnish food booth Tryfinnish offering delicious traditional treats, alongside a MOOMIN shop featuring beloved characters and merchandise. Attendees can also participate in Gingerbread Man workshop or coffee grounds painting workshop, perfect for all ages, to create festive decorations and gifts.

Unearthing Hong Kong's delicacies and hidden crafts

Among the diverse offerings, visitors can look forward to unique booths featuring fine food and local flair. Embla, a contemporary Nordic fine dining restaurant and a Dining City top 30 pioneered by Chef Jim Löfdahl will present limited-time-only Christmas dishes. Another highlight is the "Lantau Hidden Gem" which showcases upcycling crafts made from natural elements collected on Lantau Island.

Live entertainment and family activities

Every event day, the market will feature mini concerts showcasing talented local artists, providing the perfect soundtrack to the festive shopping experience. Scheduled performances from 5pm to 8:30pm create a lively atmosphere, making it an ideal outing for families and friends.

For the little ones, the "Little Elf Factory" and “Christmas Shopping Racers” offers a magical experience by making a small donation to Save the Children Hong Kong. The market also introduces the "Christmas Adventure Quest," featuring a series of fun sports challenges prepared by the Hong Kong Playground Association. This activity invites families to engage in physical challenges while enjoying the festive atmosphere, available on select dates throughout the market.
