Uber has appointed Sheng Lin as Uber For Business’ country manager for Taiwan and Hong Kong. He will lead integrated teams across both markets, partnering with companies and organisations and making their mobility, meals and delivery solutions fully integrated into Uber’s technologies.

Based in Taiwan, Lin was most recently head of business development and country manager for ASUS in Israel. During his time at ASUS, he managed product and business development across the Middle East. Commenting on his appointment, he said, "I’m thrilled to be joining a talented team in both Taiwan and Hong Kong, at such a critical juncture of the business where we are expanding our delivery and mobility offerings in Taiwan at speed and doubling down on our Uber Taxi growth in Hong Kong. My vision is to build the best business and leisure platform for enterprise partners and empower their digital transformation journey.”

Uber said Uber for Business is available in all cities where the Uber App is available. Currently, over 170,000 organsisations globally across a wide range of industries, from insurance and automotive, financial and consulting services, to hospitality, tech and real estate, use its services.

The company also said by integrating Uber For Business solutions directly into their software systems, companies and organisations are able to accelerate their digital and operational transformation to better serve the needs of their employees, help boost employee morale as part of their corporate benefits programmes and further empower business functions to trigger more effective customer acquisition and retention.

“I am excited to welcome Lin to lead the Uber For Business team in our strategically important markets of Taiwan and Hong Kong. As organisations envision the future of the workplace, Uber will continue to play a critical role across their mobility and delivery need," said Kunal Guha, regional general manager of Uber For Business APAC.

"His deep experience in partnerships, managing client portfolios, and customer-centricity are key to ensuring we bring the very best of Uber to all organiaations. Lin and his team will play a critical role in unlocking truly customer-first solutions in both markets, and towards helping organisations accelerate their transformation agendas," Guha added.
