OYO Indonesia has appointed former head of international marketing for Traveloka Rotsen Quispe (pictured) as product marketing and growth vice president. He will be reporting to OYO Indonesia country head, Rishabh Gupta. In a statement to Marketing Interactive, Quispe said his duties was previously handled remotely by OYO's headquarter in India. In his new role, he will be building a local team to drive growth and marketing, and contribute to the company’s footprint in Indonesia. Prior to this, he spent a year at Traveloka, building marketing strategies to acquire new customers and launch new products through digital channels and partnerships across Southeast Asia."We are transforming the hospitality industry across the world, and I want my team to be passionate about our mission for not only growing our business but also bringing impact to the hospitality ecosystem. We have a responsibility to provide a better customer experience. I want my team to read between large amounts of data and product-relevant insights to make their hotel bookings easier," said Quispe.According to him, OYO Hotels has been working to standardised hospitality experiences at affordable prices. It looks to protect budget hotel customers from being subjected to exploitation by touts, poor quality customer service and unhygienic living spaces.OYO Indonesia, which was launched in October 2018 in three cities, has grown exponentially to have 530 properties across more than 52 cities as of May 2019. Globally, OYO operates in more than 24 countries, including Indonesia, India, China, Malaysia, Philippines and Japan in Asia. Each country has its own local team, which works in alignment with OYO’s HQ. Most digital and content work are managed in-house.
