Shabirin Ariffin has stepped down as head catalyst of new business growth at Stellar Ace after just under four years at the company, he told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
"My time at Stellar Ace has been both transformative and rewarding. After three years and eight months, being part of the pioneer team responsible for the evolution from SMRT Media to Singapore’s largest islandwide media network, I've been presented with an opportunity to tackle a new challenge in a completely different industry," said Ariffin in a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.

"This new role allows me to expand my leadership journey and apply the lessons and experiences I’ve gained at Stellar Ace and in my previous roles, bringing fresh perspectives and a commitment to driving growth and innovation within the new industry," he added, explaining that he will be revealing where he is going next month.
Ariffin added that some of his proudest moments with the team have been establishing Stellar Ace not just as a brand but as an independent private limited entity, a milestone that strengthened its market position and opened up new opportunities for growth and collaboration.
"It was also fantastic to witness the impact of our work on Singapore’s out-of-home media landscape, where we introduced innovative solutions that resonated with both consumers and clients, helping to shape the future of Out of Home Media engagements in Singapore and beyond," he said.
Ariffin joined the Stellar Ace team in 2021 as its head ideator, brand, marketing and creative. He was responsible for telling the brand marketing story across its offline and online platforms with new technology and creativity.
Prior to that, Ariffin was an independent strategic brand and marketing consultant at SN Consulting Group where he leveraged expertise in strategic planning and transformation processes to guide companies in defining clear objectives and executing effective strategies as an independent consultant.
Before that, Ariffin was with NETS as its head of strategic marketing and communications, a role he held for four years. There, he led a team who were responsible for the company’s B2B and B2C communications across local and APAC collaborations covering strategic marketing, brand governance, digital and social engagement and creative design.
Ariffin has also held roles in Singtel, Mediacorp and CapitaLand Limited in his expansive career.
"Stellar Ace’s journey has been one of relentless innovation and transformation, driven by a shared vision and a dedicated team. As I step into a new leadership role, I carry with me the invaluable experiences and lessons from my time here, along with a deep sense of pride in what we’ve achieved together," said Ariffin. "The future holds new opportunities, and I’m excited to continue my journey in contributing to another Singapore brand entity."
