Senoko Energy has partnered with independent creative agency GERMS to launch a weekend-long online music festival titled “Power Gig”. This is in a bid to raise funds for Community Chest’s newly established Invictus Fund which will help deliver critical services to vulnerable communities affected by COVID-19.
Conceptualised by GERMS, with SENOKO Energy being the main corporate donor, the music festival will kick off on Friday, 1 May from 4pm to 6pm with a Facebook livestream performance and radio broadcast on music station YES 933. Hosted by station DJs Kenneth Chung and Chua Weibin, the online festival will feature a line-up of talented local artistes.
The headline acts will be performed by Jocie Guo Mei Mei, Derrick Hoh, Kenny Khoo and Benjamin Kheng. Other singers participating in the online festival include Wen Hui Ru, Serene Kong, Jim Lee, Gao Meigui, Sara Wee and Inch Chua. In addition, the festival will continue with more home-based solo gigs by local artistes such as Miss Lou, Abby Simone, Haneri Milliona, and Dru Chen, who will perform live on their Instagram channels over the long weekend until 3 May.
The donation link will open from 1 May to 1 June 2020 and the final amount collected from this event will be published and announced on 2 June 2020 on the social pages of Senoko Energy. According to Senoko, to support the community, the company will match public donations dollar-for-dollar, up to SG$30,000, while all donations will go to the social services.
James Chong, head of commercial of Senoko Energy, said the company is committed to support fellow Singaporeans during these challenging times and aims to assist those in need while helping to spread positive energy to all who are doing their part and staying home.
Meanwhile, James Chua, founder and managing director of GERMS, as a Singapore-founded agency, it is important to tap into capabilities and competencies, and come together in aid of the most vulnerable in the community.
