Samsonite and Kids4Kids partner to push luggage charity trade-in

Following its success over several years, Samsonite has launched its annual luggage trade-in campaign, this year partnering with Hong Kong-based non-profit organisation Kids4Kids. The partnership takes the donation campaign one step further by sponsoring children to visit Japan. Under the trade-in campaign, participants can trade-in their old luggage at select Samsonite stores for new Tri-go luggage at 55% off. The donated luggage will then be donated to Kids4Kids’ annual “Sharing for a Cause” program and distributed to grassroots families from local and other underdeveloped countries around the region, aiming to make travel easier and more affordable for them. Some children long to travel abroad and explore the wider world, yet their wishes cannot be fulfilled due to financial limitations. Samsonite and Kids4Kids are in concordance that financial limitations hinder grassroots students’ potentials and academic development. In order to support the young generation, Samsonite has further expanded the trade-in program by fully sponsoring four local grassroots children coordinated by Kids4Kids to visit Okinawa, Japan, to explore their potential and spark their imaginations.Clips of the four little travellers’ self-discovery journeys will be published online. The first went out on 26 April, which will be followed by posts on 3 May and 10 May.
