Martech firm MaLogic has made two senior appointments, with the first being Charlie Zhang joining as CEO of the media division.

In his new position, he is tasked with driving the company’s growing media-related business. Before this appointment, he was the vice-president of Focus Media, and before that, general manager of Huayi Brothers.

With 15 years of experience in sales management, Zhang has been involved in the launching of many new media, including China’s earliest outdoor media bus and subway media, Shanghai MPI Advertising. He later joined the early stages of Focus Media and witnessed its growth, during which he was promoted to vice-president of sales.

The company has also appointed Klaus Paur as managing partner, research practice leader, and head of the automotive and new mobility division.

He has over two decades of experience in market research and consultancy in the automotive industry. He has held regional and global senior management roles, including global head of automotive at Ipsos, and managing director of automobile for Greater China and South Korea at Synovate.

Paur has served many automotive original equipment manufacturers and suppliers worldwide across a wide spectrum of research areas. He is passionate about advising clients on the implications of consumer motivations and behaviour to help boost their business performance.

The company said the appointments were part of a strategic move to facilitate its business expansion into China.
