LKF Group partners with HKFA to amp up HK football atmosphere

Lan Kwai Fong Group (LKF Group) has tapped the Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) as the official party partner to enhance the vibrant atmosphere surrounding football scenes and after-parties.

Starting from 7 November 2024 until the end of 2025, the partnership aims to attract football fans and Hong Kong team supporters to visit and party at Lan Kwai Fong.

In a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, a spokesperson from LKF said: "As one of the HK icons, LKF wants to show our support to Hong Kong and also the Hong Kong football team. Through the partnership, we also want to reinforce LKF as a place of celebration, celebrating any moment, as well as before and after the matches of HK team."

As part of this partnership, LKF Group will be rolling out special offers and distributing HK$100 coupons to all ticket holders attending the highly anticipated matches between Hong Kong and the Philippines on 14 November, and against the Republic of Mauritius on 19 November. This initiative is designed to reward fans for their unwavering support and to enhance their match-day experience.

The iconic bars and restaurants throughout the Lan Kwai Fong district will serve as the official fan zone, providing the perfect pre-game gathering spots and after-party venues for football enthusiasts. Fans can indulge in a celebratory atmosphere while connecting with fellow supporters, reflecting the true spirit of the beautiful game.

In a show of unwavering support for the Hong Kong Football Team, LKF Group has also installed special street signs throughout the district. These vibrant signs encourage fans to unite and show their pride for the team as they take to the pitch in their upcoming matches.

Additionally, the excitement extends beyond the festivities, as players from the Hong Kong Football Team have been invited to Lan Kwai Fong to immerse themselves in the soccer fan celebration, including Philip Chan, Tse Ka Wing and Lam Hin Ting. This unique opportunity not only allows players to engage with their supporters but also promotes the culture of celebration that defines the LKF district.

Targeting party goers, tourists and football fans, both parties rely on owned channels and resources to barter for cross-platform and cross-party exposure to create brand synergies, Hong Kong Football Association reached out to LKF to explore party goers and tourists and attract them to visit and watch the Hong Kong football matches, while LKF rode on HKFA base to attract football fans to celebrate and visit LKF bars and restaurants.

The partnership is amplified heavily on social media and offline channels to communicate with the core segment, the football fans, said the spokesperson. LKF also created some viral videos featuring football players to attract football fans, including a video teaser on Instagram.

“We’re excited to partner with the Hong Kong Football Association to celebrate our local football culture,” said Calvin Fung, marketing manager of Lan Kwai Fong Group. “We believe that our vibrant district, combined with the electrifying energy of football, will create memorable experiences that will resonate with fans. We invite everyone to join us in the celebrations!”
