HKT unites its consumer brands to make a difference this Christmas

HKT is uniting its leading consumer brands to make a positive difference via the famous White Christmas Street Fair in Taikoo Place this year. HKT has set up a three-metre giant claw machine where visitors can play for a chance to win fabulous prizes while supporting "Operation Santa Claus" and bringing joy to underprivileged communities in Hong Kong during the festive season.

Kits Wong, vice president, group communications and brand at PCCW-HKT, sat down with us to share more about this wonderful event, "HKT has been growing with Hong Kong for more than 150 years. The group offers multiple well-loved consumer brands covering different aspects of our consumers’ digital lifestyle. In order to engage the community and promote the HKT Group brand in a very visible, tangible and yet fun way, our team has reached out to Swire Properties to form a partnership with them in this White Christmas Street Fair, in which we take on the role of their digital solution partner sponsoring the digital payment solution for this year’s White Christmas, and securing a prominent space in this signature Street Fair offering gifts from our various businesses to engage the public and help raise funds for Operation Santa Claus.”   

To participate in the claw machine games, visitors just need to make a donation of HK$20. With each donation, they will receive one chance to play and win prizes. Donations made through Tap & Go will give donors an extra opportunity to play for free. 

HKT is generously donating over HK$700,000 worth of prizes, sponsored by the group’s various businesses including 1O1O, csl, Now TV, NETVIGATOR, The Club, Club Travel, Club Care, Tap & Go and DrGo. Prizes include one-year local mobile data, home broadband, entertainment services, and even a Seoul ski vacation experience for two with two-night accommodation. There is no limit on how many times visitors can play at the claw machine and every player is guaranteed to win a prize! 

Visitors will also have the opportunity to take photos inside a giant snow globe located right behind the claw machine. This immersive experience adds an extra touch of magic to the event and allows everyone to capture beautiful memories.

“The theme of HKT booth is ‘Unlock the Wonder of Christmas,’ which symbolises how visiting our booth allows visitors to fulfill multiple wishes at once - having fun at the claw machine, winning prizes, taking photos inside the snow globe - all while contributing to a good cause. It's about unlocking that sense of wonder and spreading joy during this festive season,” Kits added.
