Etika crowned A+M's 'Marketer of the Year' for 2018

Etika took home the highest honour of the night and was named by A+M 2018’s ‘Marketer of the Year’ at Malaysia’s main event recognising excellence across the marketing communications services industry — Marketing Excellence Awards.
Helping Etika gain momentum were the numerous campaigns for brands including Pepsi, Wonda Coffee, Goodday and Calpis. With a total prize pool of 9 Golds, 8 Silvers and 2 Bronzes, Etika came in first in categories of Excellence in Advertising, Excellence in Event Marketing, Excellence in Integrated Marketing (Consumer), Excellence in Launch Marketing, Excellence in Marketing Communications / Public Relations, Excellence in Marketing Innovation, Excellence in Out-Of-Home Advertising, Excellence in Social Media Marketing and Excellence in Sports Marketing.
Coming in second was McDonald’s Malaysia, clinching 4 Golds and 5 Silvers: Gold for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility, Excellence in Digital Marketing, Excellence in Media Strategy and Excellence in Performance Marketing; and Silver for Excellence in Consumer Insights / Market Research, Excellence in Content Marketing / Native Advertising / Branded Content, Excellence in Launch Marketing, Excellence in Sponsorship Activation and Excellence in TV / Video Advertising.
Procter & Gamble’s ‘A Winning Stage for Olay’ campaign won the hearts of the judges this year, bagging 1 Gold in Excellence in Sponsorship Activation and 2 Silvers in Excellence in Integrated Marketing (Consumer) and Excellence in Marketing to a Female Audience. Other notable winners include Malaysia Organising Committee, Pernod Ricard Malaysia, Bata Malaysia, Celcom Axiata, Digi Telecommunications, Domino’s Pizza Malaysia, Dutch Lady Malaysia and Shiseido.
Judged only by esteemed industry leaders and updated each year with new categories that cater to the modern marketers, A+M's Marketing Excellence Awards has become the undisputed platform for benchmarking brand marketing excellence in Malaysia. This year, the awards were judged by 19 senior marketers from leading brands including AXA AFFIN Life Insurance, Bayer Malaysia, Kimberly-Clark, RHB Banking Group, Tesco Malaysia and more.
