Bloomberg’s Susan Li jumps to CNBC

CNBC International has poached Bloomberg anchor Susan Li, who will join the network shortly after the new year.Li has served at Bloomberg television for the past 10 years, becoming the network's main anchor as host of First Up with Susan Li.Her move comes amid troubled times for Bloomberg reporters who have been in the news over the past several weeks over restructures to its editorial department, layoffs and more recently allegations that a senior editor had spiked a hard-hitting article about a Chinese tycoon.At Bloomberg, Li has been at the center of its daily business coverage, interviewing world leaders and top business personalities, including Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Robin Li of Baidu, Credit Suisse's Brady Dougan and Blackrock's Larry Fink.At CNBC her assignments will include coverage during CNBC's core business day programming in Asia Pacific."Susan is a tremendous addition to our team," said John Casey, senior vice-president of International News and Programming of CNBC."We always promise to bring our viewers the best possible business news content, and one way we do that is by having the strongest on-air team, bar none.
