Alice Chow to succeed Caroline Chan as GroupM Hong Kong CEO

GroupM, WPP’s media investment group has appointed Alice Chow as its new CEO for Hong Kong effective from 1 January 2023, succeeding Caroline Chan, who has decided to leave the company to pursue her new adventures.

In the next few months, Chan will remain in close contact with Alice supporting the Hong Kong office to ensure business operation continuity and high-quality services for clients during the transition period.  

Under the leadership of Chan, GroupM Hong Kong has laid out a robust and solid foundation to meet the evolving market needs by successfully launching GroupM Services, the development of eCommerce, and data & tech capabilities and solutions, according to the release.

Currently as MediaCom Hong Kong’s managing director, Chow has been with the company for over eight years, where she has made numerous remarkable achievements, bringing forward the agency to excel in digital, highly skillful in data analytics and driving clients’ business results as key focus.

In terms of leadership, Chow has also positioned herself as a listener rather than a leader to create a truly compassionate and respectful culture throughout her eight years at MediaCom. Starting off her career as a media planner, Chow has always been passionate about marketing strategies. She has always believed that driving creativity has been the most desirable part of the marketing industry. As such, she enjoys the excitement from creating integrated campaigns to data-driven work.
