Called Sarpino's lately? Well if you have, you probably got directed to Pezzo Pizza. Read more to know what's going on.Both the parties are revealing no reasons as to why this is happening leaving consumers on social media confused and angry.Complaints were seen on Sarpino's Singapore Facebook page where customers said they were redirected to Pezzo Pizza and got Pezzo Pizzas instead of Sarpino's.When contacted by Marketing, Sarpino's declined to comment saying it would issue a press release at a later date.A Pezzo Pizza spokesperson too declined to comment saying its lawyers have advised to refrain from commenting "because of private and confidential discussions that are ongoing."However, he added that it will be sharing its side of the story and release an official statement to customers and stakeholders when it is able to do so.Both the companies are now legally working to resolve the issue. The confusion continuesSarpino's also recently also changed its hotline number. However, when a consumer asked on Facebook why he still got redirected to Pezzo when calling the new number, Sarpino replied: "Sorry, but this is Sarpino's. What is your postal code? We can check again, but we have no such store as Pezzo."This is one of many instances. On other queries Sarpino's made it clear "it is not affiliated" and that the situation is "complicated"."Its a complicated explanation, but let's just say we are the original Sarpino's, and have made vast improvements to our system. The franchisor is now running Singapore to correct the issues."Seah Seng Choon, executive director of Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) told Marketing that while CASE has not received any complaints on these two companies, it we will observe the situation and take action if needed.Seah added that when consumers purchase pizza from Sarpino's Pizza, they expect that the correct pizza be delivered to them and if the wrong pizza from a different company was delivered, "it is a breach of contract where consumers have a right to seek recourse to get the company to deliver the correct pizza that they ordered."
