Telekom Malaysia refreshes visual identity of broadband service UniFi

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) is launching a refreshed visual identity for its fully integrated broadband and value-added service brand, UniFi.According to a statement from TM, the refreshed visual identity puts a new generation of Malaysians, the ‘TheMakersOfTomorrow’, at the heart of the brand. The company has worked with Brand Union for the refresh which boasts a new vibrant multicolour block system that breaks away from traditional monochromatic category thinking.Before: After:Explaining the refresh Izlyn Ramli (pictured), vice president of TM Group Brand & Communication said brands in this category tend to try to own one colour.“While staying true to our orange and blue core, we wanted to break away, stand out and reclaim our leadership in the market. Like our customers, we are not one-dimensional. That’s how this new multicolour UniFi has come about,” she said."This launch of the UniFi refresh is an important and exciting step for Telekom Malaysia, as they move to champion converged lifestyle services. Over the past year, we have had the privilege of collaborating closely with TM across their portfolio, to help them ensure that their products and services create a truly transformative brand experience," added Po Kay Lee, managing director, Brand Union.The refresh is part of a larger strategic brand restructuring that is being carried out by global strategic brand consultancy Brand Union. The restructuring will see TM’s sub-brands take the front seat in all communications, with the TM corporate brand acting as an endorser and mark of trust.“TM has a broader role beyond just a broadband or convergence communication services provider.
