Sky Post’s Banking & Finance awards 2017 revealed industry excellence

Banking & Finance Awards 2017, one of the most remarkable events in the industry hosted by Sky Post, came to its second edition this year. Senior representatives from winning banks, financial institutions, as well as banking and finance associations, and professionals from the industry joined the award ceremony on 6 November 2017 at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong.The award recognises excellence and contributions of the organisations providing outstanding banking and financial services, as well as setting new performance benchmarks of Hong Kong banking and financial industry.A total of 22 awards in four categories were awarded to winners. The categories include excellent products and services of banking and financial institutions, credit cards, funds and MPF, and insurances. All awards are based on level of engagement with customers and the innovation and practicability of the products and services. The results were scored by a team of professional judging panels, and votes by the public. Riding on the extensive promotion platforms of Sky Post and the supporting HKET group members including Hong Kong Economic Times, hket.com, iMoney and U Magazine, the award is widely accepted and recognised by the public. It can be proved by the keen participation in the public voting section.The Banking and Finance Awards brought together around 100 guests at the award ceremony where some were hailed as winners. Honorable guests included Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Bernard Chan Pak-li, member of Legislative Council of Hong Kong, banking sector, Ronick Chan Chun-ying, Chairman of MPF Authority, David Wong Yau-ka, Professor Emeritus of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Department of Economics, Francis Lui Ting-ming, and President of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mabel Chan Mei-bo. They are also presenters of the ceremony.The industry’s urge on digitalisation has affected banks and financial institutions greatly, with these industry players having urgent need to innovate in light of customers’ ever-changing behaviors and preferences.
