Scoot picks social media agency

Scoot, the long-haul low-cost arm of the Singapore Airlines Group, has appointed Publicis as its social media agency following a review called late last year.The incumbent for the account was iNEO which was recently dissolved as Publicis Singapore hired the entire team of iNeo to work as full-time employees.The two-year contract will cover duties for all of Scoot’s markets in the region which includes Singapore, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea. Australia will be handled separately.Publicis Singapore will also handle social media consultancy, campaign strategy, execution and localised in market support. This is part of the airlines’ regular agency review.“Scoot is very happy to continue the relationship with Publicis (previous team from iNEO) in our continual efforts in social media marketing for the next two years. The Publicis team has come on board with Scoot when the airline was just started until today.""We have been through many exciting times together, ups and downs included. The relationship has only grown stronger over time and Scoot is looking forward to create even more breakthroughs on social media in partnership with Publicis,” Sharon Koh, head of marketing at Scoot, said."Scoot was 'born social' and social media has been in its DNA from the very beginning. That is why my team and I are excited to be given the opportunity to continue building on the success we have had with Scoot in the last few years," Kelvin Koo, head of digital, Publicis Singapore added.Meanwhile, last month the airline appointed Performics as its regional SEO/SEM agency.
