Robin Harding named FT Tokyo bureau chief

Financial Times has promoted Robin Harding to the role of Tokyo bureau chief.He replaces Jonathan Soble who now works as a reporter for The New York Times in Tokyo.In his new role, Harding covers the Japanese economy, politics and foreign relations and is based in Japan.Harding was previously FT's US economics editor based in Washington DC for four years.From 2008 to 2010, he worked as Tokyo correspondent for FT, covering the Bank of Japan and Japan's technology sector. Before joining FT, Harding had a background in asset management and banking.
