Proton Edar hands Abdul Rashid Musa CEO title

Proton Holdings has appointed Abdul Rashid Musa (pictured) as the CEO of Proton Edar, a unit which handles marketing of the company, according to its website. He will be reporting to Ahmad Fuaad Kenali, CEO of  Proton.He replaces Rohime Shafie who has been assigned as the head of automotive in the department of automotive distribution and manufacturing and engineering of DRB-HICOM, the parent company of Proton.Musa has over 27 years experience in the automotive field, with involvement in various automotive projects and organisations. Prior to this appointment, he was the chief technical officer of Proton where he held several portfolios, including being instrumental in the development of the four new models in 2016. He sits on the board of several Proton subsidiaries and was previously the head of several companies for within DRB-HICOM Group.Leveraging on his technical background, the company is confident that Musa will be able to drive further improvements in the network improvement plan especially in enhancing the after sales service.A+M has reached out to Proton for more comments.
