Prominent adman Lim Kok Wing tipped to exit role as Najib's PR strategist

Amidst the heat that Prime Minister Najib Razak is getting, prominent adman Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing has exited his role as Najib's PR strategist, as reported by the Malaysian Insider.It was first reported that Lim had signed on to be PM Najib Razak's new public campaign coordinator to win over Malaysians to the embattled minister in May this year.Lim is credited with starting up Malaysia's first ad agency, Wings Creativity Consultants, in 1975 at the age of 29.In 1988, the company merged with BBDO and the Wings/BBDO alliance was formed. He later left the partnership to start Limkokwing Integrated.He also founded the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. According to The Malaysian Insider, Lim reported directly to the Prime Minister's Office, which also had a string of advisors. The article also pointed out how Lim was involved in election campaigns for almost four decades.According to Lim's official site, he was involved in a major major drive to re-invent and brand the country in the 1990s for former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Mahathir bin Mohamed.
