Pfizer has moved a portion of its media buying business to IPG Mediabrands in Hong Kong, including some pharmaceutical brands previously held by Mindshare.Among the bigger names from its stable of pharmaceutical products include Viagra and Metamucil, however cardiovascular products Lipitor, Norvasc, along with Harmonet are also part of the deal.Mindshare did not participate in the review process and sources say IPG Mediabrands, along with Maxus were among the agencies involved.Maxus already holds the bulk of Pfizer's over-the-counter consumer products, including Centrum, arguably one of its more active brands in the market.
