Nielsen China appoints Andy Zhao as president

Nielsen announced that Andy Zhao (赵新宇) is appointed as president, Nielsen China, with responsibility for all of Nielsen’s business activities in Mainland China. Zhao reports to Patrick Dodd, group president - growth markets, Nielsen.Zhao joins Nielsen China as a highly respected industry veteran, with extensive senior leadership experience gained over the past 20 years in the marketing information industry. Most recently Andy held the role of managing director, North Asia at GfK where he led the company's business throughout China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea over the past 10 years.  Zhao also plays an active role in China’s marketing information industry as president of the APAC Market Research Committee and vice president of the China Market Research Association.“China is leading the world in e-commerce, digital and big data.  This suggests that there are incredible opportunities for growth, however it also means that it’s more important than ever for businesses to keep up with the evolving needs of Chinese consumers.
