MediaCorp Suria and TV3 collaborate for content creation

Free-to-Air TV channels MediaCorp Suria and TV3 have paired up to release a new show.Kasih Berbisik (Whispers of the Heart) is jointly produced by MediaCorp Eaglevision and Primeworks Studios. The collaboration is aimed at producing a high-quality drama series that appeal to audiences in Singapore and Malaysia and leverages on both parties’ expertise in High-Definition (HD) TV production.Set against a backdrop of Singapore, Malaysia and Bali, the 13-episode drama series debuts for the first time simultaneously on TV3 and MediaCorp Suria on 1 October 2014.Senior vice president of MediaCorp Malay Broadcast Division Zakiah Halim said, “This drama collaboration is the perfect opportunity for the best teams and cast from Singapore and Malaysia to showcase their finest works to the regional audience. It also reflects the long standing relationship between MediaCorp and Media Prima, strengthening our partnership further.”Group general manager production and operations of primeworks StudiosAzhar Borhan said: “We’ve been looking forward to cross-border collaborations as it broadens the audience for the content.  Drama is a good starting point as many types of stories have universal values to engage viewers across different countries and cultures. To that end, we’re happy to collaborate with MediaCorp who also shares a similar vision.”TV3 general manager Siti Nurlisa Mohd Nadzri also added: “ Besides Malaysia, there are ardent TV3 viewers in Singapore and several locations in Indonesia. In conjunction with TV3’s 30th anniversary, this collaboration is relevant as we are rewarding our loyal viewers around the region with the most special ‘gift’ which we believe will spur an overwhelming positive response”.
