McCann Health veteran David Shen steps down 6 months after promotion

Six months after being elevated to senior vice president of global client unit, Asia Pacific, McCann Health's David Shen has left the firm, McCann confirmed.Shen first joined McCann Healthcare in 2000 as account executive and was gradually promoted until he became managing director in 2009.The McCann veteran briefly left the firm in 2012 for six months, but rejoined McCann Health Greater China as president for five years before he was recently promoted to senior vice president of global client unit, Asia Pacific to take up the regional business development role.With more than 17 years experience in the healthcare industry, he is considered one of the leaders of building brands in the pharma area.Marketing has reached out to Shen for comments. According to his LinkedIn page, he is now an independent consultant.Meanwhile, across the pond, Australian healthcare agency Ward6 has announced the acquisition of McCann Health Australia, bringing the two agency brands together under one umbrella.
