Malaysian FA Cup gets title sponsors

Superbest Power Health Food & Beverages, a local coffee energy drink, and Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership have announced today the title sponsorship for the Malaysian FA Cup.The three-year deal from 2016 to 2018 will see the competition being called the ‘Superbest Power Piala FA’, as well as the launch of a new FA Cup logo that incorporates the Superbest Power brand. The partnership will include entitlements that allow Superbest Power to grow and promote Malaysian Football given their country-wide presence, and other marketing rights such as engagement activities during FA Cup matches.The comprehensive agreement between Football Malaysia LLP and Superbest Power was brokered by MP & Silva, a sports international media rights agency appointed by the FA of Malaysia as its global adviser for all media and commercial rights for an extensive line-up of FAM competitions.Details of the title sponsorship was announced following a three-day workshop organised by the newly-formed Football Malaysia LLP that involves clubs and all other stakeholders of the Malaysian Football League. Football Malaysia LLP is driven to take Malaysian football forward with its main function to operate the Malaysian Super League, Premier League, Superbest Power Piala FA, TM Piala Malaysia and Charity Shield.Superbest Power Health Food and Beverages, CEO Kamal Mohd Nor said: “We’ve seen how engaged and passionate football fans are for their local clubs and we believe we can take that a step further.""We know that football in Malaysia has vast potential to grow, and we see the FA Cup as a great opportunity to take local football to the next level and the Superbest Power brand can be a big part of that initative. Superbest Power Energy Coffee has grown to be a household name over the years and as the first local coffee brand to sponsor Malaysian Football, we believe we can strengthen our brand image as an all-natural energy beverage,” he added.Football Malaysia LLP CEO Kevin Ramalingam added: “We’re delighted to have see a major local brand supporting local football and we believe there’s many mutual benefits to be gained from a commercial as well as football perspective. We look forward to seeing Superbest Power bring its brand alive at this year’s FA Cup, and giving local fans more to cheer about.”
