Lucasfilm Singapore appoints new GM

Lucasfilm Ltd has appointed Teresa Cheng (pictured) as general manager for Lucasfilm Singapore. Cheng joins Lucasfilm from DreamWorks Animation where she served as senior production executive for the joint venture between DreamWorks Animation in the United States and Oriental DreamWorks based in Shanghai.Cheng brings over 20 years of experience in animation and visual effects production to her new role. That experience bridges both the studio side of the business and the facility side having held senior positions at Warner Bros., Rhythm & Hues and Digital Domain.Her feature film credits include Shrek Forever After, Madagascar, Batman & Robin and True Lies.“Teresa is the rare executive with a solid background of production experience, business development acumen and a rich knowledge of global markets. She brings an energy and passion to her work that I know will benefit the studio and the relationships we’ve built while continuing to forge new relationships in the region,” Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm president said.Cheng will report directly to Lynwen Brennan,president and general manager of Industrial Light & Magic (ILM).
