Leo Burnett strikes gold with double victory at MARKies Awards SG 2024

Leo Burnett Singapore continued its impressive run of victories, clinching MARKies Awards 2024’s two top honours. The agency secured the Overall Creative Ideas MARKie, bagging five gold, two silver, and one bronze, along with the Overall Media Usage MARKie, earning five gold, one silver, and one bronze. This remarkable achievement was fuelled by the success of seven standout campaigns.

Among these campaigns, "Nespresso Professional: Tasteful Connections," crafted in collaboration with Division Communications and Neo Media World for Nespresso Singapore, and "With Love, McDSG 2023," in partnership with OMD Singapore for McDonald's Singapore, shone brightly. Both campaigns swept the board with gold accolades in categories like "Most Creative - B2B Marketing," "Most Creative – Customer Engagement," and "Most Effective Use – Out-of-Home."

DSTNCT claimed the runner-up position in the Overall Creative Ideas MARKie, securing two gold, one silver, and two bronze trophies. Their campaign "CATCH" for the National Arts Council ranked high in categories such as "Most Creative – Communications / Public Relations" and "Most Creative – Digital." Close behind, TBWA Singapore secured one gold, two silver, and two bronze for their campaigns "UnAwkward," "Singapore Reimagined with AI," and "SG Enable "FAQ".

Meanwhile, PHD Singapore clinched second place in the Overall Media Usage MARKie, with three gold and one silver. Notable campaigns included "Singapore Airlines boosts reach and revenue with cookieless media strategy," developed in partnership with Quantcast, and "Welcome to World Class" with TBWA Singapore for Singapore Airlines. Rounding out the top three, First Page Digital garnered one gold and three silver trophies for campaigns such as "The Cocoa Cart Climb," "JBL, Expanding Horizons," and "Autobacs Performance, Revved Up!"

Additionally, several other esteemed agencies received recognition, including BBDO Singapore, Livewire Gaming Australia, Media.Monks, Pico Art International, TEAM LEWIS, :Teeth, Fabrik Asia, Zeno, Dentsu Red Star, ADA Asia, M&C Saatchi Performance, Ogilvy Singapore, Germs Digital, Mindshare Singapore, OMD Singapore, BBH Singapore, and M&C Saatchi Performance.

This year's submissions showcased an unprecedented level of ingenuity and visionary thinking, demonstrating the remarkable creativity and determination of marketing professionals who dared to challenge conventions and redefine possibilities. The winners were chosen by a 31-member judging panel comprised of senior marketers from notable brands, including 3M, Abbott Laboratories, Babilou Family Singapore , Brown Forman, CGS-CIMB Securities, Colgate Palmolive, Crimson Education, DirectAsia Insurance, Edrington, Ferrero Asia Pacific, Fitness First, Franklin Templeton, Hugosave, Instarem (by Nium), Klook, L’Oreal SAPMENA (South Asia Pacific Middle East North Africa), LinkedIn, Mastercard, NEC Asia-Pacific, Nespresso Singapore, Pizza Hut Asia Pacific Franchise, Qantas & Jetstar in Asia, QNET, Standard Chartered Bank, T. Rowe Price, The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts, The Singapore Island Country Club, The Travel Corporation, UPS, Visa, and York Hotel Singapore.
