Havas Media wins Wuhan LIVAT Shopping Centre

Havas Media China has acquired the integrated media planning and buying business of Wuhan LIVAT Shopping Centre, which is IKEA Centres’ third shopping mall launch in China with the previous two located in Wuxi and Beijing.The agency secured the business after a pitch that involved media agencies UM and Dentsu.Wuhan LIVAT launched on 30th April, having 172,000 m2 of gross leasable area (GLA), and over 4,700 parking spaces.The centre houses more than 360 stores, including the main tenants of IKEA, Auchan, Suning, JINYI Cinemas and DecathlonAccording to the latest count, four days after the opening, the centre attracted over 500,000 visitors, and more than 150,000 per day on 1st and 2nd May, a new milestone for LIVAT.The appointment further strengthens the agency’s relationship with IKEA Centres, which partnered with Havas Media for the launch of its previous two shopping centres in Wuxi and Beijing.Commenting on the win, Manfred Tsang, MD of Havas Media Group Shanghai, said: “We are very excited to be working on IKEA Centres’ third launch in the country. It is a testament to the quality of our delivery."The launch of the previous two LIVAT shopping centres in Wuxi and Beijing was extraordinarily successful and we accumulated a lot experience.
