Munich-based German mobile platform Wagawin has opened its office in Singapore, which will be led by Clément Simonneau (pictured), former sales director APAC at Art of Click. The company aims to build strong relationships with direct advertisers, media agencies and publishers in the SEA region. In a statement to Marketing, Simonneau said Southeast Asia is one of the most promising regions for mobile ad tech businesses. The rapid growing mobile network coverage, combined with a high affinity for mobile devices in the region, will offer Wagawin good growth conditions, he added. Some of its competitors include AdColony, Vungle and Adludio. However, Simonneau said that what differentiates it from competitors is that Wagawin is the sole provider of LivingAds, an ad solution that entertains users while collecting their interests. It can measure emotions, reactions and psychological patterns during ad consumption, Simonneau said. The company currently has fifteen employees in Singapore and Germany, and is looking to expand into Indonesia and Malaysia. It aims to have a combined team of at least 25 to 30 employees by the end of the first quarter next year. Some of its clients include M&C Saatchi, Mediacom, OMD, McDonald's and Samsung. Simonneau added that the Singapore office will be pitching for local clients.
