Lee Gardens has jumped on the virtual reality (VR) bandwagon to partner with the Hong Kong Tennis Open 2016, and transform its Atrium into a tennis court high in the skies above Victoria Harbour from 30 September to 16 October. At the 1/F Atrium of Hysan Place is a tennis court equipped with VR headsets and two hand-held controllers, with which its players can experience a thrilling simulated tennis game with 360º views of Hong Kong’s beautiful scenery during the day, an intoxicating night view after 6pm, and the sound of a gentle breeze in the background.Visitors can also get involved by playing "Air Tennis Mobile Game", where the cell phone is used to "serve" a tennis ball and players try to hit prize targets for e-coupons. The personalised ball can be printed at the tennis court with HKD $50 benefit to the Hong Kong Tennis Association. A pop-up store by FILA can also be found in the mall."‘The idea as well as the challenge behind this concept is to tie Lee Gardens’ healthy, work-life balance image with tennis. To whet the appetite of Hong Kong people who’re accustomed to the latest tech and trendy devices, we’ve brought them a unique and brand-new experience - the World’s first (and probably the coolest) one–on-one tennis game 'in the air' to be played over the splendid Victoria Harbour scenery using VR technology, and printing your favourite photo on tennis ball with a special tennis ball printer," said Ken Hui, co-founder & creative director, Air Concepts Limited.https://youtu.be/kRITSxJ-bWI
