Macomm Management Services has appointed Wong Siew Wai (pictured) as CEO, replacing J. Matthews who is retiring after starting Macomm back in the early 1990s. Prior to the move, Wong was CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Malaysia’s Vizeum Malaysia, before being succeeded by Chinar Joshi. In a statement, Wong said Matthews is an icon in the advertising industry of Malaysia and has been a guiding light behind the scenes. He added many people call Matthews the "walking-dictionary" of the industry because of the knowledge he has amassed over the years in dealing with every facet of the industry."Matthews has successfully operated Macomm and set a high standard of professionalism that all our clients have come to expect from us. I am inspired to carry on his legacy and will use all my experience and effort to take us to a higher level.”Chairman of Macomm Dato’ Johnny Mun described Wong as an "ideal" replacement for Matthews given his collective 26 years of working experience with international advertising and media agencies."Having steered Vizeum to continued profitability and fame, he now brings with him his experience, knowledge and the close relationships he has fostered with advertisers, agencies and media owners to add greater value to Macomm’s services," he added.Macomm Management Services is a professional management services company providing services to trade associations and non-governmental organisations in the marketing, advertising and communications industry.
