Facebook names new head of Taiwan and Hong Kong

Facebook has appointed Fei Yu (余怡慧) to the position of head of Taiwan and Hong Kong.A veteran of the technology sector with more than 17 years of experience, Yu was most recently head of travel and finance for the Greater China region at Facebook, where she oversaw the social media company's sales and business development of the travel and finance verticals in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.As head of Hong Kong and Taiwan at Facebook, Yu will manage the company’s growth in these markets, and spearhead strategic relationships with global brands, agencies and partners for Facebook’s advertising platform.She will also lead strategy across a functional team including sales, marketing, measurement and creative. Based in Taiwan, Yu will report to Jayne Leung, vice president, Head of Greater China at Facebook.Prior to Facebook, Yu served Google for eight years, first as head of agency Greater China, then as head of travel and gaming business for China, and most recently as deputy GM of Google Taiwan. Earlier, Yu held senior sales role at Microsoft with responsibility for online sales and partnerships.“Fei's deep industry knowledge and experience will drive the next phase of our business development in Taiwan and Hong Kong, while bridging businesses in the two markets to the global, mobile economy for more opportunities,” said Jayne Leung“I look forward to working with our Hong Kong and Taiwan teams and partners to accelerate our growth, and help our clients explore new business opportunities in and out of these two markets by leveraging Facebook’s unique capabilities,” said Yu.
