eBay has launched a new global brand campaign called “Shop the World”.The campaign illustrates how everyday moments of inspiration can be made "instantly shoppable" on eBay and pushes the company’s position in e-commerce - to have “unmatched selection of 800 million listings paired with eBay’s multiscreen technology”.eBay’s brand advertising and marketing campaign, which debuts on 13 October 2014, aims to position eBay at the top-of-mind with consumers during the holiday season. In a press statement, eBay said "as a partner to merchants, especially the small businesses who make their living on eBay, the ultimate goal is to support sellers by activating existing eBay users and attracting new ones."The campaign was created by Goodby Silverstein & Partners which was appointed earlier this year as its global creative agency. The campaign will run across television, digital, mobile and social channels and launches in conjunction with themed collections of "shoppable inventory" on eBay.com. The campaign will initially launch in the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom and Germany and more markets will follow in 2015.“The strength of the eBay brand represents the strength of our business and our entire community. This campaign is a celebration of that community, and an invitation to shoppers everywhere to act on your inspiration,” Richelle Parham, chief marketing officer for eBay North America added.Check out the campaign here:http://youtu.be/nOdwlff_2ZsMeanwhile just recently, The Bay Inc board of directors have approved plans to separate the company’s eBay and PayPal businesses into independent publicly traded companies in the second half of 2015.
