Dentsu Razorfish rebrands as Dentsu iX

Dentsu Razorfish will be rebranded as Dentsu iX from July 2015 onwards.In a press statement, the company said that Dentsu Razorfish has been “engaged in the advertising business” through a joint venture between Dentsu Digital Holdings Inc and Publicis Groupe. Previously, Publicis Groupe held 19.37% of the shares while Dentsu held the rest.Following the acquisition of the shares formerly held by Publicis Groupe, Dentsu Razorfish will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dentsu Digital Holdings and be rebranded Dentsu iX Inc.Dentsu iX will be a specialised one-stop agency that provides digital solutions. The new name reflects the company’s desire to create innovative experiences. According to the agency, going forward, amidst the progress of globalisation in the digital marketing domain, the agency will seek to further expand its operations through cooperation with the Dentsu Group’s international digital network.The agency is currently run by president & CEO Hidetoshi Tokumaru.
