Cummings exits Samsung post restructure

Update: In the latest development, regional digital and social media lead Damien Cummings has confirmed his departure from Samsung.Confirming the development to Marketing,  he said the move was a result of the restructure.Marketing's first reported about the restructure which took place under the new regional CEO, on 25 September. Read more on what happened in September here.A spokesperson for Samsung then said: In light of business needs, Samsung South East Asia & Oceania has reallocated a very small part of its workforce." The spokesperson declined to comment on what the percentage of the workforce has been made redundant, and across which roles.In May this year, the company went on an aggressive hiring spree under Gregory Lee, making several senior communications appointments.During that period, Ranji David joined as regional head of digital marketing, Grace Yi was made regional head of e-Commerce and Richard Joyce was appointed to lead corporate affairs for Southeast Asia and Oceania.David has since moved to a new role as head of media.
