Catcha Group names a new global director for comms

Catcha Group has appointed Stephanie Caunter (pictured) as its global director, marketing and communications. She will be leading its public relations, branding and digital marketing efforts where her role will be "to catapult the Catcha brand further as a global disruptor that’s proudly Asian", said the company.This position was created as Caunter’s role is a combination between leading Catcha Group’s marketing and communications efforts as well as heading its events business, Wild Digital. She will be heading the company's Wild Digital events business which is Southeast Asia’s premier digital conference. Wild Digital was established in 2015 in Kuala Lumpur as a platform for digital leaders to share their bold and wild visions for building disruptive companies. To date, Wild Digital is present in four cities with plans to continue expanding and connecting the region’s leading and future disruptors.Caunter has almost 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, business development and engineering. In her most recent role, she was PwC’s executive director of marketing communications for Malaysia and Vietnam. At PwC, she transformed her team into a digital-first group, where their work has been instrumental in cementing the firm’s position as a leading employer and brand.“I am thrilled to join Catcha in such an exciting time for the Group and for the tech scene in Southeast Asia.
