AXA Hong Kong appoints new CEO

AXA Asia Life CEO Etienne Bouas-Laurent will succeed Stuart Harrison as CEO of AXA Hong Kong from 1 September 2017.AXA Hong Kong announced that Stuart Harrison will retire from the AXA Hong Kong CEO position, effective 31 August 2017. Harrison will become director & senior advisor to continue to lend his experience and expertise to AXA Hong Kong.Bouas-Laurent will continue to report to Jean-Louis Laurent Josi, regional CEO of AXA Asia.“Harrison has been an inspirational leader for our Hong Kong business. He has led AXA Hong Kong to become a leader in Life, P&C and Health insurance, and has been on numerous occasions recognised with many industry awards. I would like to warmly thank him for his great contributions over the past eight years,” said Laurent Josi.The insurance company said in his eight years as CEO, Harrison built a strong agency channel with manpower increasing over 70%.“I am also delighted to have Bouas-Laurent take over the AXA Hong Kong CEO position. Bouas-Laurent has had a long and successful career with AXA since 1997. With his passion, energy, and vision, Bouas-Laurent will clearly continue to drive our business to flourish in Hong Kong while transforming it to make it even more digital ready, efficient and customer-centric,” Laurent Josi added.Bouas-Laurent is currently focused on expanding the life and health business in the region. Prior to joining AXA Asia in 2016, he was CFO at AXA Germany and has also led the wealth management business in France.
