Amorepacific Malaysia's Mamonde brand expected to bring in revenue

Amorepacific Malaysia’s latest cosmetics brand Mamonde has launched its first counter located at AEON 1 Utama.In a press statement to A+M, the beauty brand shared that it is targeting to open three more counters by year-end with its second counter opening at AEON Mid Valley Megamall in September 2016.The newly-launched Mamonde plan is slated to contribute up to 20% of the company’s revenue in the next four years, Margaret Chin (pictured in the centre), Amorepacific Malaysia’s general manager told The New Straits Times.The event also saw Mamonde Malaysia introducing its brand ambassador, popular Korean actress Park Shin Hye. Park who was not present, greeted guests through a video which was aired during the official launch ceremony.The move follows recent local reports of the beauty corporation’s plans to invest up to US$170million or RM683 million in Malaysia’s Iskandar Puteri. Amorepacific will set up an integrated centre for R&D and manufacturing in Iskandar Puteri located at Malaysia’s Johor state.Part of Amorepacific’s global expansion strategy, the new plant is expected create between 300 to 500 new jobs in Iskandar Puteri, one of the five flagship zones of Iskandar Malaysia.
