WPP's creative commerce agency, Geometry, has appointed Jesse Lin as its APAC CEO with immediate effect.

Replacing former APAC CEO Diana Cawley (who left the company to seek new opportunities), Lin will lead more than 1,100 employees across 17 cities tasked with delivering creative solutions and experiences to drive commercial growth. Based out of Shanghai, he will directly report to Global CEO Beth Ann Kaminkow.

“I am thrilled to welcome Lin to Geometry at a critical moment in our agency’s story. With a proven track record of driving transformation for other world-class organisations in the APAC region, he’s perfectly suited to deliver growth locally and globally for those clients navigating the new retail opportunities that the region presents," said Kaminkow.

Before taking this appointment, Lin served as APAC CEO at Edelman, where he has been credited with having transformed the agency into a modern communication organisation, with brand and digital capabilities. Prior to that, Lin worked at McCann Greater China as its CEO and also held senior positions at DDB Shanghai, Wieden + Kennedy China, and Leo Burnett Hong Kong.

"Today, the relationship between brands and consumers is increasingly dynamic and fragmented, particularly in retail. To maintain relevance and drive business growth, marketers are constantly seeking out fresh and effective solutions from their agency partners," said Lin.

"I am very excited and honoured to join this entrepreneurial team. APAC is full of energy, optimism, and opportunities. I look forward to partnering with our Asian teams to drive more innovation and success from this region," he added.
